scBooster Partnerships = Grant$ for ALL Groups
Every ASB-approved group at Shorecrest has some extra bump in their budget in 2009-10, thanks to powerful partnerships in our family and business community. Equity grants for all groups and Incentive grants for organizations with specific needs account for nearly $17,000 in scBooster support. These grants reflect one of scBoosters’ primary missions: to create equity in funding and support for all student organizations while building partnerships that reinforce Highlander pride. More than 90 percent of money raised by scBoosters is distributed to student groups; the remainder is used for the following year’s purchases, administrative expenses, and a small carry-over savings fund. Suzanne) (from hyperlink, here is Equity grants copy) Backed by the strength of the Lake Forest Park/Shoreline community and Shorecrest High School families, scBoosters is pleased to present $6,780 in Equity Grants to 49 teams, clubs or performing arts groups for 2009-10. Equity Grants are awarded to SC ASB-approved organizations to strengthen groups of all sizes. Funds are distributed based on the number of student participants. All grant money is raised through partnership-based events, including concessions, football barbecues, the winter adults-only Dueling Decades Dance and the March Scot Trot 2-K and 5-K run with Dash-n-Dine pancake breakfast.
